A trip to the store is Boyfriend in Love With Girlfriend’s Friend’s Buttusually a no-hassle sort of situation, but Zendaya's recent experience at the checkout counter didn't go that way at all.

On Snapchat, the actress retold her story of an employee who treated her and a friend rudely after they tried to purchase $400 worth of gift cards, alleging that the treatment was fueled by racism.

"The lady that was helping us—I don't think she was a huge fan of our skin tone," Zendaya said in the video. "In fact I recall her not trying to help us at all, saying that we couldn't buy the gift cards and then throwing my wallet."
